Product Description

The Life Triumphant:
Mastering the Heart and Mind offers steps to help each person rise from weak conditions their lives, sin, sorrow, etc., and win victory over heart and mind.

Because we, as human, cling to these weak conditions our life misses the mark on what we would like it to be.

James Allen recognized and thought that managing our thoughts we could harness the power to shape our lives.

"Every being lives in his own mental world.

His joys and sorrows are the creations of his own mind, and are dependent upon the mind for their existence.

In the midst of the world, darkened with many sins and sorrows, in which the majority live, there abides another world, lighted up with shining virtues and unpolluted joy, in which the perfect ones live."

James Allen was a British philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry and as a pioneer of self-help movement.

Allen's practical philosophy for successful living has awakened millions to the discovery that "they themselves are makers of themselves".

Allen insists that it is within the power of each person to form his own character and create his own happiness.

About the Author

James Allen was born on 28th November 1864 in Leicester, England. He was a philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry. At the age of 15 his father, a businessman, was robbed and murdered so he had to leave school to work full-time in several British manufacturing firms to help support the family. At the age of 38 he retired from employment to become a full time writer. Allen - together with his wife Lily and their daughter, Nohra - moved to a small cottage in Ilfracombe, Devon, England to pursue a simple life of contemplation. There he wrote for nine years, producing 19 works. He also edited and published a magazine, "The Light of Reason". His most famous book, As a Man Thinketh, is now considered an all time classic self-help book. Its underlying message is that noble thoughts make a noble person, while lowly thoughts make a miserable person. Allen died in 1912 at the age of 47.
